Why It Matters
Our lab studies how cells communicate through receptors on their surface and how these signals can be understood, controlled, and ultimately harnessed to develop better therapies. The biology we study lies at the heart of many human diseases, including cancer, neurological conditions such as pain and substance use disorders, and cardiovascular and metabolic disease.
Scientific discovery takes time, persistence, and resources. Behind every finding are years of rigorous experiments, specialized reagents and technologies, and scientists committed to doing the work required to get there.
