Decoding Signaling Specificity

Cells encounter many extracellular signals, but how do receptors convert them into distinct cellular outcomes? We investigate how receptor composition, assembly, and engagement of downstream effectors encode signaling specificity and determine cell fate.

Our Approach

We take a question-driven approach, integrating complementary methods to uncover how receptors signal – from structural biology and single-molecule biophysics to pharmacology, protein engineering, proteomics, and computational modeling.

Interested in our research?

We are looking for motivated students, postdoctoral researchers, and collaborators who share our passion for receptor biology and drug discovery. If you are interested in joining the Krishna Kumar Lab at Weill Cornell Medicine, we would love to hear from you.
